TEAM

Lee Kurtas
President
Lee began his professional journey at Perfection Supply in 1995, a local provider of fireplaces and insulation, beginning in inside sales before advancing to an outside sales position. His eight-year tenure in sales was marked by overwhelming success which lead him to pioneer a specialized role aimed at expanding the burgeoning insulation division. This role saw Lee masterminding a comprehensive array of operations, including procurement, scheduling, customer service, installation, IT development, and sales education and training, among others.
From 2003 to 2009, under Lee's stewardship, insulation sales soared from a monthly $250k/month to an impressive $2M/month, even amidst intense national competition. After a battle with the recession, Lee transitioned out of his role at Perfection in 2014 while maintaining a $1.2M/month in insulation sales.
After a short stint with a local energy consultant, Lee was struggling with not being able to “do the work” and fix the problems he was diagnosing. Lee had been methodically planning his new business adventure for many years and aligning his experience and relationships to ensure a successful business start-up.
In 2016, he established Contigo Consulting, LLC, doing business as High Performance Home Systems, channeling years of meticulous planning into the foundation of his own company.
Sales have been a cornerstone of Lee's career, and this entrepreneurial venture was no exception.
Beyond driving sales initiatives, Lee's true impact lies in fostering team growth, setting the strategic direction for the company, and crafting a roadmap for sustained success. His approach involves setting bold, realistic growth targets, alongside recruiting and mentoring a team capable of realizing these objectives.

There, Scott worked under the former CFO of Academy and learned countless valuable business principles including accounting, finance, treasury, corporate structure, customer service, human resources, insurance, marketing, reporting, and supply-chain management.
His two-year stint at the startup paved the way for a project management role at a local HVAC company. In this capacity, Scott steered the installation department towards an impressive streak of 100% growth for three consecutive years. Saturated with hands-on experience, training, dedication, implementation, and paired with the business background undoubtedly helped create a unique asset that understands how to install a condenser, how to run a business, and everything in between.
Scott's journey took a brief detour to South Carolina, but plans changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading him to collaborate with Lee at High Performance Home Systems (HPHS). In the fall of 2020, Scott had officially joined HPHS, joining a team that then comprised three employees in total. Under their combined efforts, HPHS has witnessed a remarkable expansion, quadrupling its annual gross revenue, enhancing profitability, and growing to employ over a dozen staff members alongside numerous subcontractors responsible for the company's installations.
As the holder of the Environmental and Refrigeration license issued by the State of Texas, Scott's focus remains on implementation, mechanical design and application, operational procedures, profitability, employee management and retention, revenue generation, and the overall continued success and growth of the Company.
