Lee Kurtas

Lee Kurtas graduated from Texas A & M University in 1995. Following graduation, he began working for Perfection Supply. Mr. Kurtas spent 8 years in sales, focusing on homeowners and custom homebuilders.
In 2003 Mr. Kurtas became the manager of the Perfection Supply Insulation Division. The Insulation Division became the best insulation business in Houston under his leadership. While manager, Mr. Kurtas developed an interest in energy efficient homes.
He left Perfection Supply in January of 2016 for Snyder Energy Services. During his time at Snyder, Mr. Kurtas honed his vision for a new company focused on HVAC and insulation. In 2016, Mr. Kurtas founded High Performance Home Companies. High Performance Home Systems is the first division of High Performance Home Companies.
Married for over two decades, Mr. Kurtas has a wonderful son and spends time with his family when not working.

Gabriel Ramirez

Gabriel Alejandro Ramirez graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston in 2006. With a degree in Consumer Science and Marketing. Gabriel’s professional career expands among a wide variety of markets. Including banking, automotive, gas and electricity, and construction management. 
The majority of Gabriel’s professional career was in banking. Gabriel retired from the banking industry in 2016. His interest in construction management & construction science began to unfold. He became a OSHA certified safety inspector and quality assurance supervisor. He holds certifications in forklift, boom lift, scissor lift and has a CDL license.
Gabriel found his home at High Performance Home Systems in 2020. He loves the fact that he gets to use his entire skillset. Sales, marketing, administration, management, operations, safety, and most importantly customer satisfaction. Gabriel takes a proactive hands-on approach to life and work. So don’t be surprised if you see him climbing out or into an attic. 
On his off time, Gabriel is a family man. Nothing is more peaceful than spending time with family. Gabriel loves motorcycles and speed in general. Gabriel loves to build cars. Enjoys playing any game, or sport that gets the body active. Gabriel has sky-dived and claims that it’s a life-changing experience. That everyone should do at least once. Gabriel has participated twice in the MS 150. 

Ross Britton

Ross Britton is an industry veteran. Mr. Britton spent 25 years as a VP for Airtron, which at the time was the largest new construction residential and light commercial HVAC contractor in the nation. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Mr. Britton also holds a TDLR HVAC license. For the customer, Mr. Britton is passionate about finding the intersection of giving the customer what they want and need and providing people with facts so that they can make an informed decision. Mr. Britton has a number of roles at the company, including Vice-President and minority owner/partner. He assists the company with smart growth while providing superior service to the niche market of high-end homes in West Houston. When he is not working, Ross enjoys golf, swimming, travel, bowling, reading, and NFL football. He is President of Four Points Pop Warner Football and Cheer, the Vice-President of Education and Workforce Development for the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin, the Perennial Parade of Homes Chairman for the HBA, and a Volunteer at Skillpoint Alliance. Mr. Britton has four children, all adults, and is passionate about coaching youth sports for what it does for kids. He runs a program where military veterans are hosted and honored at Vandegrift High School home football games. Mr. Britton has a great passion for getting young people into the construction trades as a career. His favorite quote is: “Life is what you make of it, nothing more, nothing less” from the book: “The Pigman”, by Paul Zindel.

Scott Lyon

Scott came to HPHS in 2020 with 7 years of Project Management in the HVAC industry.  His HVAC career started in product sales for a local Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) supplier, then transitioned into Project Management at another local HVAC company where he was first introduced to High Performance Home Systems.  While Scott’s primary role at HPHS is as a Project Manager, he also is a proficient Estimator, experienced Technician, and avid Salesman. His passion for assessing what’s wrong with a system’s function and his desire to satisfy a client’s comfort needs automatically makes him a vital part of our Company’s recent success, a pivotal part of our future, and a joy to work with.

Outside of work Scott enjoys cooking barbeque at home with his wife and 2 kids, watching or playing baseball, watching football, and a variety of hunting & fishing activities.

Enrique Bolivar

Enrique joined the High Performance Home Systems Team in October 2021.  While a recent addition, Enrique and Lee worked together several years ago at Perfection Supply.  Enrique’s background is in Insulation Purchasing, Scheduling, and Sales.  Although not yet experienced in HVAC, his background in Insulation helps ensure the Team has layers of resources for our clients to get eyes in the field and quicker turnaround times on Proposals.  In fact, one of Enrique’s key roles since joining the Team is to help maintain the volume of inbound needs: emails, texts, calls, etc.  We’re growing at a rapid pace and we’re glad to have Enrique on our Team!

When not at work Enrique loves to watch baseball, part of his Venezuelan heritage, movies, and sampling dark rum.
